Objectives
Students are required to be equipped with a basic theory in the field of Pharmaceutical Engineering; who have strong abilities to engage in scientific researches and solve the real problems in Pharmaceutical Engineering and related fields,; who are expected to have a rigorous and realistic scientific attitude and work-style; who are proficient in one foreign language and able to read references in foreign langauges in this discipline. Graduates are expected to be competent to engage in manufacturing, engineering development, teaching and research jobs in relevant enterprises, scientific research institutes, hospitals and higher education institutes.

Cultivation Mode
Advisory system is applied in this program. Students should set out a working program with the instruction of their supervisors in the first two weeks after registration. Students are supposed to participate in the stage assessment according to Master Degree Candidate Medium-Term Screening Method of South China University of Technology and complete the required social practices before the end of the third semester.
Dissertation
Thesis Proposals should be finished in the third semester. Before applying for Thesis Defense, graduates are required to publish officially at least one academic paper in core journals or those of above levels with South China University of Technology signed as the first unit, or the student signed as the first author or the supervisor signed as the first author and the student the second, or have one authorize patent. Thesis defense will be arranged according to Rules for the Implementation of Graduation Degrees of South China University of Technology and Regulations of the Applications for Thesis Defense of South China University of Technology on the completion of theses.
