In the evening of October 19th, on the occasion of the semicentennial reunion meeting held by the former students of SCUT in Class 7038, WANG Xingsheng, alumnus who entered SCUT in 1963, Chairman of a famous tyre group in Thailand, donated 5 million RMB to SCUT for the building coustruction of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
At the signing ceremony, LIU Qijin, Vice President of SCUT and Education Development Foundation Executive, presented the certificate of donation and souvenir to WANG Xingsheng. She also expressed her thanks to him on behalf of DU Xiaoming, Chairperson of University Affairs Committee, and WANG Yingjun, the President of SCUT.
WANG Xingsheng expressed his gratitude to SCUT at the ceremony.
Schools Alumni Association, the Education Development Foundation, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, together with its former students in Class 7038 witnessed this moment of celebration.
