The Closing Ceremony of the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2021 (SDME2021) was held at Dubai Solar Park at 1:00 PM on November 24, Dubai time. The Closing Ceremony was attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of Dubai Water and Power Authority (DEWA), Representative of the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Consul General in Dubai, and others.   

TeamSCUTxCSCEC won 9 sub-contest and was the overall champion. This is the best result in all the previous competitions.  

In 2013, we won second place in SDC with the work Eco-Concave. In 2018, we won the SDC Championship with The LONG PLAM. We are the first university to win both in SDC and SDME.

Regardless of the objective test score or subjective score,teamSCUTxCSCEC came out on top in every sub-contest,we reached the real decathlon.

After two and a half years of persistence and efforts, the members of TeamSCUTxCSCEC have proved themselves. It took nearly three years from planning, design, construction, transportation, and reassembly to testing and participating in the competition under the epidemic situation. We overcame all kinds of unprecedented difficulties, such as the delay of the competition, the graduation of core members, epidemic control, the delay of maritime transportation, sandstorm, extreme weather, and some equipment failures, and finally stood on the highest podium!
