Her research focuses on resilient blue-green spaces, ecologically intelligent landscape design (stormwater management, sustainable water landscapes), Lingnan vernacular landscape research, multi-scale landscape pattern analysis, and landscape eco-hydrological processes. She has led numerous national, provincial, and municipal-level scientific research projects, published many high-level academic papers, and possesses rich teaching and research experience.
