Brief introduction of the speaker:

Mauro Berta, Architect and Ph.D. – is Assistant Professor of Architectural and Urban Design at the Politecnico di Torino, where he works, both as a designer and a researcher, on the relationships among urban morphology, architectural typologies and landscape characters.He teaches in the Joint StudioPolito-Tsinghuainternationalworkshop (Turin/Beijing) and he has been guest lecturer at Xi’an Jiaotong–Liverpool University of Suzhou. In 2010 he was awarded with the second PAN prize (Landscape Architecture Nature) “ArditoDesio”, conferred by the IPSAPA - University of Udine (IT)

Michele Bonino, architect and Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at Politecnico di Torino. In 2014 he was the coordinator of the international research “Memory.regeneration”, a study on the industrial heritage in contemporary Beijing (Jovis, Berlin, 2015). In 2013, he was a visiting Professor at Tsinghua University. He is a contributor of the Chinese magazine “World Architecture”, editing a column about urban regeneration. Michele Bonino is the Executive Director of the South China-Torino Collaboration Lab. for Politecnico di Torino.
