Brief introduction of the speaker:

Jianfei Zhu studied architecture at Tianjin University China and Bartlett School of University College London. Obtainlng a PhD at UCL in 1994he embarked on an academic career, focusing on theory and history of architecture, with a focus on China in a comparative and socio-political perspective. He has worked on spatial politics of imperial Beijing critical moments of modern Chinese architecture, issues of vision and form, and relations between'form' and politics.
