On July 15th, the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) announced the first session of the National Featured Open Courses, taking two courses offered by School of Architecture, South China University of Technology (SCUT) into the list.Our two selected courses are Architecture Design Basis by He Jingtang and Architecture Design by Sun Yimin.

The National Featured Open Courses are included as an essential item in the National Undergraduate Teaching Project launched by MOE, which aims to promote idea transformation, content update, methodology reform and resource sharing in undergraduate curriculums around the whole country.

Since 2013, totally four batches of 2,911 courses were set up as open courses, which were successively released to the public via the website of iCourse as free resources.

Then after verified by MOE this year, 2,686 of these online courses were finally certificated as the firstpack of the national program. The certification will be valid for five years.
