On March 21st to 25th, our school graduation design group held a cross-strait activity of SCUT—NQU (South China University of Technology and National Quemoy University) and activities of prominent experts’ lectures and communication. The theme of this activity was “Old City Streets Renewal and Activated Research of TOD theory”, and the research and design theory were mainly combined with the physical truth of Changshou station part, Guangzhou subway Line 1. It was the first time to continuous study for the joint graduation design of the two schools.

Although the weather was bad, yet it couldn’t stop teachers and students teaching and studying. They reaped a good harvest just in one week.

On the morning of March 21st, School of Architecture, SCUT, Vice-Dean Prof. Xiao Yiqiang gave a high appraisal to the activity of joint design teaching. In the following week, NQU, Prof. WU Gangli and Associate Prof. LIU Huayue took a series of brilliant lectures respectively, which were closely related to the theme.

In the coming two months, teachers and students from both schools will keep on researching and designing for exchanging and sharing design results with each other in the later stage.
