On Mar. 7^th to 11^th, 2016, our school held a joint graduation design activity of opening and research report of UC4(Chongqing University/ Harbin Institute of Technology/South China University of Technology/Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology). This year, the UC4 joint graduation design activity was hosted by School of Architecture, SCUT, with the theme of Update of New Axis Southern Part, Guangzhou, under the background of Guangzhou future trend, focusing on the transformation of village in city, transformation of old factory, function conversion, improvement of environment, spatial reconstruction, social justice and new-type urbanization and so on, putting urban renewal strategies with cultural characteristics from the aspect of city spatial.

On Mar. 7^th to 8^th, Guangzhou Urban Planning and Design Survey Research Institute, Planner Mr. Yan Yongtao, Planner Mr. Guo Guansong, and School of Architecture of SCUT, Lecturer Zhang Zhimin, had held a lecture respectively. On Mar. 11^th, the research report held smoothly. Then, all of them will be back to their schools and go on their design projects, and will be together again to interim reviewand research in the latter part of April.
