On July 28 , 2015, the 14th Challenge Cup of extra curricular academic science and technology works competition to national university students, the special event Smart City, fell its curtain, which was sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Young League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, the National Federation, and Guangdong provincial government, co-hosted by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Guangdong University of Technology. The work of Stop-go, Smart Travel—Study of Tourism Model Based on Network Information won the national first prize, which was from School of Architecture, SCUT, completed together by GU Qin, WU Jiangyue，JIA Ruilan, directed by our school teacher associate professor ZHAO Miaoxi.
In 2015, the Challenge Cup was reformed and upgraded by Central Committee of the Communist Young League and other host units, which was added the special event SmartCity on the basis of the original main competition, expanding the international influence of the competition.
