Recently, the annual meeting of the National Steering Committee on Urban and Rural Planning Education in 2015 was successfully held at SouthwestJiaotongUniversity. The school of architecture selected 12 student projects of urban planning to take part in the contest associated to the Steering Committee. Among them, 9 projects received good prizes, including 1 second prize and 3 third prizes in the comprehensive survey report of urban and rural social practice, 2 second prizes and 2 honorable prizes in the innovative practice for urban traffic, as well as 1 honorable prize in the urban design, maintaining high winning rate.
Some of our teachers took part in the annual meeting. They took results from the overall planning and rural planning courses to participate in the exhibition of innovative educational experiment. Dr. Lecturer LIU Hui presented his paper. Tutors from universities in china listened to academic reports with the theme of Urban and Rural Inclusive Development and Planning Education, discussed and exchanged ideas at aspects of discipline construction in rural planning, teaching methods, theory and practice and so on.
