Research
Protection and development of water culture landscapes, and protection and development of Lingnan regional landscape resources
Long-term tracking of three closely related research directions: Lingnan regional water landscapes, regional landscape resources, and evaluation, protection, and development of regional landscape characteristics. Outstanding research features and innovative contributions include: the discovery and organization of the unique cultural landscapes of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, represented by Guangzhou, — traditional waterborne cultural landscape resources. This is an important breakthrough in Lingnan regional landscape research, and can contribute to the construction of the Wanli Greenway, water tourism planning, and specialized waterway planning in the Greater Bay Area. The planning and design of the water-based cultural heritage route provides important data, foundation, and theoretical guidance. The research foundation project Protection and Development of Water Cultural Landscapes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was approved as a 2020 Guangzhou Philosophy and Social Sciences Development 13th Five-Year Plan project. Published 15 papers in core journals and 10 papers at the provincial level or above. As the main person in charge of the landscape design section of the Cantonese Opera Art Museum project, the project has won: First Prize for Planning and Design at the 2019 Science and Technology Award of the Landscape Architecture Society; First Prize in the 2017 National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Landscape Engineering category; 2017 First Prize for Excellent Engineering Survey and Design in Guangdong Province.
