On Oct. 21^th, 2014, Doctor Rodolphe el-Khoury, Dean from School of Architecture of University of Miami and teacher YI Li paid an academic visit to our school. Executive Vice-President, Prof. SUN Yimin and Director of Department of Architecture, Prof. LIU Yubo, and other teachers received Doctor Rodolphe el-Khoury and teacher YI Li at the hall of NO.27 Building. Both of them introduced their school respectively, discussed issues concerning the education and scientific research. Then Prof. SUN Yimin showed them around President HE Jingtang’s studio, acoustical laboratory and so on. On that evening, Dean Khoury gave us an excellent lecture entitled “Architecture 2.0”, which described a not-too-distant future in which “the internet of things” will become a reality. In this world, our homes, workplaces, and the objects within them will all be wirelessly connected, intelligent, and responsive.
