Global Scholars discuss in the topic of “Healthy Urban and Rural Environment” at South China University of Technology (SCUT)

The 11th International Symposium on Environment-Behavior Research, organized by SCUT and Environment-Behavior Research Association (EBRA), Co-Organized by State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science, SCUT, was held on Nov. 7th-9th at SCUT. The Symposium was aimed at the living environment, production mode, changeable living standards under globalization context, and significant challenges of deficient resources, environmental pollution, and ecological damage rising from the rapid urbanization, industrialization, marketization, and the process of social change, entitled on “Ecological and Wisdom: Towards a Healthy Urban and Rural Environment”, discussed and exchanged on 11 topics of environmental psychology and behavior, such as crowed environment, environmental adaptation, environmental pressure, living circle reconstruction and so on. More than 200 scholars from mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan, America, England, Japan, Holland, Vietnam, etc., attended the symposium. Academician of CAS, Prof. WU Shuoxian and other 5 famous scholars gave keynote speeches for the symposium.
The symposium called for 201 full papers from all over the world, gained very positive responses and active contributors. 163 among them were accepted through reviews of the international referee panel, including 25 experts, and will be published by the SCUT press.
