On Nov. 21st -22nd, the fifth conference of the USE Joint Research Centre between SCUT and TU Deft was held at our university.
In the opening ceremony on Nov. 21st, Prof. Peter Wieringa, Vice-Rector of TU Delft and Prof. ZHU Min, Vice President of SCUT, signed the TU Delft-SCUT Agreement of PHD Double Degree program. It’s the first time of TU Delft signing the agreement with a Non-EU university. 2 students from the School of Architecture and the School of Materials and Engineering from SCUT will be first participants in the program.
As bilateral Chairmen of the Board of the USE Joint Research Centre, Prof. SUN Yimin, Deputy Dean of the School of Architecture, SCUT and Prof. Vincent Nadin from TU Delft presented works of each side in the previous program.
During the two days’ conference, more than 60 global experts, scholars, teachers and students discussed topics on Complex urban systems and integrated solutions, Integrated solutions for new challenges, The Integrated planning, design and management in the delta area, etc.
