LI Tuofen (1938-  ) is working at Southwest China Architectural Design Research Institute, and is also appointed as honorary director of South China University of Technology. He got his BA from the Department of Architecture, South China Institute of Technology in 1962. Mr. Li has received many honors and awards as listed below:
In 1970, the design of Chengdu’s Chengbei gymnasium won the first prize of National Outstanding Design Award.    
In 1987, He won the third prize of Sichuan provincial scientific and technological advances award.     
The design of Sichuan provincial gymnasium won a silver medal of National Architectural Design Award and the second prize of Excellent Engineering Design Award by Ministry of Construction.
The design of Chengdu Stadium won a bronze medal of National Excellent Engineering Design Award and the first prize of Sichuan Excellent Engineering Design Award.     
The lighting design of Chengdu Stadium won the second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award by Ministry of Construction.    
The design of Kamanyola stadium, Republic of Zaire , won the second prize of Excellent Engineering Design Award and the third prize of Outstanding Scientific and Technological Progress Award by Chinese Construction Engineering Corporation.
