Introduction of Prof. ZHANG, Ming
Ming Zhang is tenured Associate Professor and Graduate Advisor in the Community and Regional Planning Program at the University of Texas at Austin. He is specialized in planning for land use-transportation integration, GIS applications, and planning in the international setting. He holds the degrees of Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning and Master of Science in Transportation (both from MIT), Master of Regional Planning & Graduate Certificate in GIS and Spatial Analysis (both from SUNY Albany), and Master of Engineering in Urban Planning & Design and Bachelor of Architecture (both from Tsinghua University, Beijing). Ming Zhang has published in such leading planning journals as the Journal of American Planning Association, Journal of Planning Education and Research, and Urban Studies. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Planners and Site Visitor of Planning Accreditation Board in North America.
