Received a PhD in Architectural History and Theory from South China University of Technology in January 2003.
Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from South China University of Technology in June 1993.
Research interest
He worked as the director of the two projects(No. 50308010;No. 52078216)sponsored by NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China). His main research interest includes:
1. Research on the timber structure system of ancient building, focusing on the formalism and scale issues in middle age of China with Ying-zao-fa-shi;
2. Research on traditional residential houses and settlements in South China, as well as the spatial history theory based on this research.
