On the morning of September 7th, the academic presentation by Academician Alberto Borghetti of University of Bologna in Italy was held at the Wushan Campus of SCUT. Professor Zhu Jizhong, IEEE Fellow and from School of Electric Power Engineering, presided over the presentation, nearly 100 teachers and students attended the lecture.
Prof. Zhu Jizhong first warmly welcomed Alberto Borghetti and briefly introduced his learning, work experience, and main research directions to the teachers and students. Alberto Borghetti's research and teaching activities involve areas such as power system analysis, power outage recovery, electromagnetic transient analysis, optimal generation scheduling, and distribution network operation. He has led his team to make outstanding contributions in areas such as power system vulnerability, transient distribution network modeling, and cogeneration.
Alberto Borghetti gave a report on “Flexible operation of an EV parking lot for voltage control in a distribution network”, introducing his team's various ideas for the future operation mode of electric vehicles. Unlike the existing V2G (vehicle network interaction) model, the V2V (vehicle to vehicle interaction) model used in the report is very innovative. Alberto Borghetti demonstrated the excellent performance of this study in voltage control through specific examples, achieving optimized operation of the distribution network from a new perspective.
During the interactive session, teachers and students who participated in the exchange meeting had academic discussions with Alberto Borghetti, and benefited a lot.
