Introduction
Established in 2008, Guangdong Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Technology, South China University of Technology (CET Lab), has been devoted to the research on optimized utilization of energy conservation and rational development of renewable energy since its establishment. Known as NewEnergyResearchCenter originally, CET Lab began research on wind energy technology since 1997, entering the industry through a committed project with Guangdong Nan'Ao Wind Farm, maintaining foreign wind turbine controller. CET Lab has been undertaken projects in wind energy industry (1999), renewable energy grid connection technology (2002) and micro power grid technology based on distributed renewable energy (2002), which includes:

At present, there are 44 researchers working in CET Lab, including 17 professors, 19 associate professors, 2 senior engineers, among which 64% with doctor degree, 91% with master degree, and 26 researchers are under 45. Up to now, CET Lab has educated over 60 postgraduates with master's and doctoral degree and published over 200 papers, which builds a solid foundation on wind energy industry and solar power grid-connection technology.
