1. Power Station System and Equipment Simulation and State Diagnosis
2. Optimization and Control of Power Station Operation
3. Economic Analysis and Energy Saving of Power Station
4. Power Station System Reliability Analysis and Safety Operation
Cultivation Mode
Advisory system is applied in this doctoral program. Doctoral students should draw up a working program with the instruction of their supervisors in the first two weeks after registration. Students are supposed to participate in the medium term assessment between the 8th and 15th weeks of the third semester according to Doctor Degree Candidate Medium-Term Assessment Method of South China University of Technology and complete the required social practices. Regular seminars (stage summary reports) are needed. In-service doctoral students are exempt from social (teaching) practices.
Dissertation
Doctoral students should draw up a working thesis plan and write thesis proposals between the 8th and 15th weeks of the third semester. Defense of thesis proposals is held publicly at the school and three professors or above are supposed to attend the defense. The reading amount of literature review should reach no less than 30 pieces. Before applying for the thesis defense, students are required to publish academic papers officially according to the requirements listed inDocument #61, 2008 of SouthChinaUniversity of Technology. Thesis defense will be arranged according to Rules for the Implementation of Graduation Degrees of South China University of Technology and Regulations of the Applications for Thesis Defense of South China University of Technology on the completion of theses.
