Objectives
This program aims to cultivate high-level scientific and technological professionals who are all-round developed morally, intellectually and physically; who are equipped with a solid theoretical foundation and profound professional knowledge of fluid machinery energy conversion, numerical simulation and intelligent control; who are able to proficiently employ above knowledge to conduct system analysis and researches of internal flow field of fluid machinery; who are proficient in one foreign language and able to read resources and write in foreign languages; who have the abilities of doing independent scientific researches and engineering designs by the application of high-tech technology; who possess innovation spirit and computer technology required for this field.

Cultivation Mode
Students are required to draw up a working plan under the instruction of supervisors in the two weeks after registration and bound to participate in the stage assessment between the 13th and the 16th weeks in the third semester according toMaster Degree Candidate Medium-Term Screening Method of South China University of Technology and complete social practices before the 20th week in the third semester. Regular seminar reports are required. In-service graduates are excused from the required social practice.
Dissertation
Students are required to draw up the working plan of thesis writing and prepare Thesis Proposals between the 11th and 20th weeks in the third semester. Before applying for Thesis Defense, graduates are required to publish officially at least one academic paper in core journals both at home and abroad, or to have papers published or recruited in the paper collections of both national and international academic conferences. Thesis defense will be arranged according to Rules for the Implementation of Graduation Degrees of South China University of Technology and Regulations of the Applications for Thesis Defense of South China University of Technology on the completion of theses.
