Small class teaching is adopted to cultivate high-quality innovative and top-notch talents with innovative thinking, profound economic theory foundation, and mastery of modern economic analysis methods. Each student in the class is accompanied by an undergraduate research tutor to strengthen the cultivation of students' scientific research quality. Students who have completed their undergraduate studies in 1-3 years and meet the requirements will be recommended to enter graduate school without examination in two-way choices in the 4th year. After completing the corresponding undergraduate course in the 4th year, the student obtains an undergraduate degree and earns a master's degree in economics after graduating in the 6th academic year. At the postgraduate level, those who meet the requirements can choose to enter doctoral programs in two-way choices. This major has high requirements for students' mathematical foundation and implements a regular assessment and a final elimination system. The bottom 20 percent of the students in the overall ranking will be transferred to ordinary four-year undergraduate majors (optional majors in economics) to continue their studies.
