The main research fields are: (1) Monetary Theory and Policy, which includes the study of money demand theory, money supply theory, monetary policy and macroeconomic regulation and control, transmission mechanism of Chinese monetary policy and its effect evaluation. (2) Corporate finance. The study focuses lie in corporate financial decision-making, multinational finance, mergers and acquisitions, personal finance and so on. (3) Financial engineering. The main contents include financial product innovation and pricing, financial risk management. (4) Behavioral finance. It studies behavioral asset pricing, behavioral risk management.
This major aims at developing student’s ability to put modern financial theory into practice, use analysis tools to analyze and study financial problems. With an accurate understanding of national monetary policy, he is required to be able to implement the monetary policy, and carry out financial practices and financial management. A majority of graduates choose to find employment in large state-owned banks or commercial banks, securities companies, fund companies, futures companies, investment companies, insurance companies, government financial regulators (such as securities administration office, securities regulatory bureau, banking regulatory commission, the People's Bank, etc.), multinational corporations, foreign investment financial institutions and so on.
