SCUT was this year recognized by the US’ Institute of Management  Accountants (IMA) as one of the nine Asian educational institutions that meet  the quality standards of IMA’s Higher Education Endorsement Program 2016.

SCUT was also one of the first six Chinese universities that earned the  endorsement from the IMA, a leading global association of accountants and  financial professionals in business. The other five are Peking University, the  University of International Business and Economics, the Central University of  Finance and Economics, the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and  Jinan University.

Besides Chinese universities, the Asia-Pacific Institute of Management in  India, the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and the Singapore  Management University were the other three in Asia that received the same  certification.

The IMA’s Higher Education Endorsement Program is a program that identifies  business curricula that meet the quality educational standards required to  enable students to earn the Certified Management Accountant (CMA)  designation.

Founded in 1919, the IMA owns over 70,000 members in 180 countries. It is  one of the world’s largest and most respected associations focused exclusively  on advancing the management accounting profession.
