From December 13 to December 15, the first Peaking Time Hotel Management Competition became a great success in Nankai University, Tianjin. The group “A-team”, including the members He Mengyuan, Tan Shiqi, Cai Yifan, Hu Lanshuang, from SEC, SCUT won the first price nationally. The professor WeiWei was awarded the Excellent Director as the group adviser.
The Tourism and Services College of Nankai University hosted this competition, divided into preliminary contest and final, assisted by CESIM and Tourism Experimental Model Center. The preliminary contest has 260 participating teams from various universities. The host classified all into 30 groups requiring them to do online simulation management. After that, the best group among all group’s members in accumulated income and team introduction can participate in final.
The final asked the competitors to operate own hotel in five rounds, calculating the accumulated income for ranking. Afterwards, all should make presentation for the case the host showed them, to fight for the investment of shareholder. Groups were ranked by sum of two part scores.
Although “A-team”was the first time using CESIM, with another groups has rich experience ,they prepared for a long time discussing and thinking the operating decisions many times. Therefore, they got the tickets to the final occupying the group high first. The final has 45 group fighting, with the powerful adversary such as Sun Yat-sen University, Nankai University, Xiamen University, Yunnan University, and South China Normal University. However, “A-team” row the first with wonderful presentation.
