Mr. Yang Yiren, deputy party secretary of SEC, along with staffs of SEC Student Affairs and Service Office and more than 100 students attended the salon.
The theme of the salon was A Light Never Dims in City Leads Youth to Enjoy Reading. Began by sharing his life experience, Mr. Liu Erxi narrated his idealistic life attitude: he enjoyed the spiritual reward which was brought by reading, writing and traveling. When mentioned his no-closing bookshop, he said that he had three purposes: culture output, kindness supply and personal dream.
In the interactive communication section, audience on-site discussed on topics of reading in the time-fragmented era, idealist’s choice and surrender and the role that bookshop window plays in the internet era. Different perspectives brought interesting sparkles in collision ideas.
The Reading Salon was SEC’s branding activity. It was held once a month in the 3rd floor of the library, HEMC, aiming to establish a sound reading atmosphere and encouraged students to read widely and extensively in SEC. (Edited by Huang Xiaoting)
