During the ChengduNational Games，athletes from SCUTy shine on the field, winning a total of six gold medals. Coach Huang Weihao and Mrs. Liu Dongxiao also participated as coaches and technicalofficials, contributing to the smooth running of thecompetition.

In the women's platform divingfinal that started on August 3rd, Wang Weijing won the gold medal with a totalscore of 358.20. In the mixed double 3m springboard final held on the same day,Wang Weijing partnered with Yang Ling and won the gold medal with a total scoreof 328.20. In the mixed double 10m platform final held on August 4th, WangWeijing and Wang Bihan won the championship with a total score of 331.26.

On August 7th, the diving event of theChengdu University Games entered its final day of competition at the JianyangSports Center Swimming Pool. In the mixed team final, Wang Weijing and herpartner Huang Zigan won the championship with a significant lead due to theiroutstanding performance. Additionally, the Chinese team secured thechampionships in both the men's and women's team events based on the totalscores of the athletes. As a result, Wang Weijing alone won a total of 5championships.

On August 6th, the final day ofthe Chengdu University Games track and field events, the women's 4x100m relaytook place in a light rain. The Chinese team, with Ge Manqi, Liang Xiaojing,Cai Yanting, and Li Yuting, competed in the sixth lane.

The first runner, Xiao Jing, ranvery steadily. The second runner, Manqi, kept accelerating and took the lead.Although there were some flaws in the handover between Yanting and Yuting inthe third and fourth legs, Yuting still crossed the finish line first.

In the end, the Chinese women'srelay team ran a time of 43.70 seconds, leading the second-place Polish team by0.5 seconds to win the gold medal, while the South African team took home thebronze.

In addition to the participatingathletes, school teachers Huang Weihao and Liu Dongxiao also serve as coachesand technical officials, utilizing their professional expertise andprofessional qualities to participate in the organization of the competitionand ensure the smooth progress of the event.

The rowing events of the ChengduUniversity Games were held at the Sichuan Water Sports School from August 4thto August 6th, producing a total of 15 gold medals. The chief referee for theevent was Liu Dongxiao from South China University of Technology. Liu Dongxiaois one of only six international rowing referees in China and the only femaleinternational rowing referee in the country. She has been involved in theorganizing committees and as an international technical official for eventssuch as the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics, the 2016Rio Olympics, the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, and the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games.Due to her extensive experience and professional abilities, she was jointlyappointed as the chief referee for the rowing events by the International RowingFederation (FISA) and the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

Liu Dongxiao said with a smileafter the competition, The referee team for this competition is composedof 19 international referees from 16 countries and regions such as theNetherlands, the United States, and Japan, as well as 30 national refereesselected from various countries. Due to the rapid changes in the local weatherin Chengdu, on the day of the finals, we experienced alternating unfavorableweather conditions of heat and heavy rain. We calmly and orderly completed therefereeing tasks. When the final competition ended and I saw the gloriousmoment when the winning athletes stepped onto the podium, as the chief referee,I felt genuinely proud and proud!

Huang Weihao had previouslyparticipated as a coach in the 2015 Gwangju Universiade in South Korea and the2017 Taipei University Games in China. For his third Universiade journey, hisinitial feeling was just perfect. The Chengdu University Games, in termsof competition standards, venue conditions, event support, volunteer service,and the atmosphere created by the audience, is the most outstanding one inmy  journey. The reception,accommodation, and food were all on point. The warm-up equipment for athleteswas complete, and the performance of the track at the Shuangliu Sports CenterStadium was also very suitable for athletics competitions.
