This talk surveys properties of a variant of Harvey's curve complex that I studied ages ago as a student and relates the paths to surfaces constructed in mapping tori and to mapping class group invariants.

报告人介绍：

Ingrid Irmer博士毕业于波恩大学，师从Ursula Hamenstädt，目前任职于南方科技大学，从事Teichmuller空间与映射类群方面的研究。
