   报告摘要：

   Hawking is an important Quasi-local mass in General relativity. In this talk, I will first introduce the relationship between Hawking mass and the Willmore functional. Then we discuss the minimizers of curvature functionals (Willmore functional and extrinsic energy functional) subject to an area constraint in asymptotically flat manifolds. Under some certain conditions, I will show that such minimizers exist.

报告人介绍：

魏国栋副教授目前就职于中山大学数学学院（珠海）。2018年6月毕业于中科院数学所，获博士学位。2018年7月-2020.6于北京大学从事博士后工作。目前主要研究兴趣为数量曲率的几何以及广义相对论中的数学问题，在Trans. AMS, Crelle, Math. Ann, Math. Z等期刊发表论文十余篇。
