An infinitesimal operator is one that models the relation between a large random matrix and a small finite rank matrix. I will present a theorem that explains how these operators are connected to the Mark-Kerin transform. This is joint work with Pei-Lun Tseng.
报告人简介:
James Mingo is a professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Queen’s University in Canada. His research areas include free probability theory, random matrices, and operator algebras. One of his well-known books is Free Probability and Random Matrices (co-authored with Roland Speicher), which serves both as a graduate-level textbook and a research monograph in free probability and random matrix theory.
