报告摘要：
In my talk, I will discuss about the recent classification of the flag-transitive 2-designs with λ = 2, which is complete except when v is a power of a prime and $G\leq A\Gamma L_{1}(v)$. Further, I will focus on how the interplay between Finite Permutation Group Theory and Finite Geometry has a key role in the aforementioned classification both in filtering out admissible cases and in constructing remarkable examples.
报告人介绍：
Alessandro Montinaro is Associate Professor of Department of Mathematics and Physics ‘E. De Giorgi’, University of Salento. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics at University of Salento in 2005. His research field are finite geometry, finite groups, block designs, and has published about 40 papers in Combinatorica, JA, JCT(A), JCD, JACO et al.
