In this talk, we consider the global existence of renormalized solutions to the chemotaxis system with consumption of chemoattractant. Due to Sobolev inequalities, weak solutions are mainly defined for equations or systems of subcritical type. For the supercritical equations or systems, the nonlinear terms cannot often be controlled by the diffusion term. In order to obtain global solutions for supercritical systems, the renormalized solutions are often considered. Since chemotaxis systems with consumption of chemoattractant in high dimensional spaces are essentially supercritical, so we consider their renormalized solutions.
