报告摘要：

The rigorous justication of mean-field type equations (Boltzmann,Vlasov-Poisson, nonlinear Schrödinger...) from the many-body systems they are supposed to describe is a vast and fundamental subject. Since the Nobel Prize winning first observation of Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC), the investigation of this new state of matter and thus the nonlinear Schrödinger equation has become a research hot spot and seen vast developments in recent years. In this talk, we survey the mathematical achievements in the field and discuss the most recent advancements.

报告人简介：

陈旭文，84年10月出生，博士。2007年在湖南大学获得学士学位，2012年在美国University of Maryland获得博士学位。2012至2015年在美国Brown University做博士后。陈博士现任美国罗切斯特大学数学系终生副教授。陈旭文从事导出量子多体动力学中的NLS极限的研究，在包括Invent. Math.在内的世界数学顶级期刊发表论文多篇，是美国自然科学基金项目DMS-1464869的负责人。
