报告一摘要：

We present the general theory of multiplicative chaos due to Jean Pierre Kahane. It originated from Kolmogorov's log-normal hypothesis on the turbulence and Mandelbrot's random cascades.

One of its applications is the resolution of Dvoretzky's random covering problem.

报告二摘要：

Dynamical systems on the interval $[0, 1]$, satisfying the Thaler's condition, have been extensively studied. In this paper we consider invariant density and statistical properties of non-uniformly expanding dynamical systems on ${\Bbb{R}}^d$ ($ d \geq 1$). We present a critical regular condition that is a supplement and a development of the Thaler's condition, and it is very closely related to Lamperti's criterion. Under this new condition, we offer a method for studying the dynamical systems. A continuity description of the invariant density is presented; and a convergence theorem for iterations of Perron-Frobenius operator is set up. Furthermore, we establish a more exact result for one-dimensional systems.

报告人简介：

范爱华，华中师范大学和法国亚眠大学教授、博士生导师。主要从事的研究领域包括动力系统和遍历理论，概率论，Fourier分析，分形几何等。曾入选科学院百人计划(2001,中科院武汉物理数学研究所)，获得国家基金委的海外合作基金(B类杰青, 北京中科院数学所，2008-2010).  曾任法国国家科研中心LAMFA实验室概率论和遍历理论研究室主任(2001-2012)。本科毕业于武汉大学数学系(1982)，获法国南巴黎大学数学博士学位(1989)和巴黎大学数学Habilitation(1995)。曾担任第三世界科学院科学奖-数学类(TWAS Prizes，2014) 通讯评委，法国国家研究基金委(ANR)评议专家(2014)，美国国家科学基金委 (NFS，2007)通讯评委，国家基金委面上基金和重点基金特邀评委(2005)。

        叶远灵教授是华南师范大学基础数学专业博士生导师。1997年-2000年在香港中文大学攻读哲学（数学）博士学位，2001年在香港中文大学数学系访问，2002年在新加坡国立大学数学系访问，曾任美国《数学评论》评论员，欧洲数学学会评论员。
