We studies some age-structured or size-structured population models by using the semigroup methods. For linear models, we obtained the global well-posedness and the property ofasynchronous exponential growth of their solutions. For nonlinear models, we obtained the global existence of positive solutions, the existence of positive steady solutions and the asymptotic behaviors.

报告摘要:
In this talk we consider optimization problems with the constraints having disjunctive structure, in particular, sparse constraint set can be written in this form. Based on the concepts of metric subregualrity and their characterization from generalized differentiation, we obtain the new stationarity concept of extended M-stationarity. Further, by negating the mixed regularity/subregularity, we may obtain the second order necessary optimality conditions for the optimization problems with union of finite many polyhedral sets. Finally, we apply these results to sparse constrained optimization problem.
