报告摘要：
    In 1998, Allouche, Peyriere, Wen and Wen established a congruence relation between the Hankel determinants of the Thue-Morse sequence, and proved that all the Hankel determinants of the Thue-Morse sequence are nonzero. This property allowed Bugeaud to prove that the irrationality exponents of the Thue-Morse-Mahler numbers are exactly 2. Similar properties for other sequences were derived by Coons, Guo, Wu, Wen by using the same method. In this talk, we present several other proofs and methods. In particular, a one-page proof and a computer assisted proof. We show  that the irrationality exponents of large classes of automatic numbers and Mahler numbers are exactly equal to 2.

报告人简介：
    韩国牛，法国国家科研中心的研究员。 1987年本科毕业于武汉大学，1992年于法国斯特拉斯堡大学获博士学位。现为法国国家科研中心的研究员，在斯特拉斯堡大学的数学研究所工作。主要研究方向为组合数学, 在Advance in Mathematics, International Mathematical Research Notice, European Journal of Combinatorics, Journal of Number Theory等学术期刊发表论文90余篇。最近三年发表论文十余篇。
