报告摘要：

  Integralforms in algebras are natural things, for instance nxn matrices overthe integers contained in nxn matrices over the complex numbers.  A more subtle and very important example is the lattice spanned by aChevalley basis in a finite dimensional complex simple Lie algebra.  Recently, with coauthors Chongying Dong and Ching Hung Lam, we havedeveloped some general theory of integral forms in vertex operatoralgebras.   This theory gives an Monster -invariant integralform in the Moonshine VOA.   We discuss other examples and openquestions.

报告人简介：

    RobertGriess,美国艺术与科学院院士，美国密执安大学教授，世界著名代数学家。1971年发现了最大有限单群--魔群，并提出了Griess代数的概念。
