报告人简介：
陈恕行，复旦大学数学科学学院教授，中国科学院院士。浙江镇海（今宁波）人，1962年毕业于复旦大学数学系，1965年复旦大学数学系研究生毕业。
长期从事偏微分方程理论与应用的研究，特别是关于高维非线性守恒律方程组与激波的数学理论研究。给出了三维尖前缘机翼和尖头锥体的超音速绕流问题含附体激波解的局部存在性与稳定性的严格数学论证，在解决这一长期悬而未决的难题中取得突破性进展，为实验与计算结果提供了严密的数学基础；应用偏微分方程理论证明了在激波反射中频繁出现的马赫结构的局部稳定性，其研究成果发表在JAMS等国际数学杂志上。曾获国家自然科学奖二等奖2项。在2010年召开的国际数学家大会（ICM2010）上作45分钟邀请报告。
报告摘要：
Thestudy on the mixed typw equations is most difficult in the theory ofpartial differential equations. It is closely related to thetransonic flow in gas dynamics.In this lecture we will briefly givean introduction on the connection of mixed type equations and gasdynamics, the character and classification of mixed type equations,as well as the main difficulties and recent development on thissubject.
