报告摘要:
The Boussinesq equations concerned here model geophysical flows suchas atmospheric fronts and ocean circulations. In addition, they playan important role in the study of Rayleigh-Benard convection.Mathematically the 2D Boussinesq equations serve as alower-dimensional model of the 3D hydrodynamics equations. Theglobal regularity problem on the 2D Boussinesq equations with partialor fractional dissipation has attracted considerable attention in thelast few years. This talk presents recent developments in thisdirection. In particular, we detail the global regularity result onthe 2D Boussinesq equations with vertical dissipation as well as somerecent work on the 2D Boussinesq equations with general criticaldissipation. If time permits, we will also briefly discuss theregularity problem on the partially dissipated Boussinesq equationsin a bounded domain.

吴家宏,美国俄克拉荷马州立大学(OklahomaState University)数学系教授,流体力学数学理论的专家,自1990年以来一直跟随世界著名的PeterConstantin学习和研究流体力学的数学理论,并利用调和分析工具解决了流体力学中一些很困难的问题。目前已经在世界著名杂志(如CPAM,ARMA,JFA,SIAM等等)上发表论文80多篇,并且被广泛地引用。他曾多次被邀做学术报告和系列讲座,并多次主持学术会议。
