报告摘要:
Under the diffusionscaling and a scaling assumption on the microscopic component, anon-classical fluid dynamic system was derivedby Bardos-Levermore-Ukai-Yang that is related to the system ofghost effect derived by Sone in different settings.The talkpresents a result to justify this limit system for a non-trivialbackground profile with slab symmetry. The result reveals not onlythe diffusion phenomena in the temperature and density, butalso the flow of higher order in Knudsen number due to the gradientof the temperature.
Precisely, we showthat the solution to the Boltzmann equation converges to adiffusion wave with decay rates in both Knudsen number andtime. This is a joint work with Feimin Huang, Yi Wang and Yong Wang.
