报告摘要：Theselectures will serve to introduce students to the new and excitingfield of categorification.  We will begin with a very briefreview of the representation theory of associative algebras, beforeintroducing the concept of weak categorification with some simpleexamples. After this, more sophisticated examples of categorificationwill be presented, including a categorification of the polynomialrepresentation of the Weyl group and the Fock space representation ofthe Heisenberg algebra. The course will conclude with a discussion ofmore advanced ideas in categorification, such as strongcategorification of the Heisenberg algebra.
