报告摘要1:I shall describe mathematical tools, like eigenvalue spectrum or generalized curvature notions, that are both mathematically rich and useful for the analysis of empirical data sets.
报告摘要2:The Bernstein problem has been one of the guiding mathematical problems of the 20th century, and it still inspires mathematical research. It asks whether entire minimal graphs are necessarily flat. This is true for certain dimensions and codimensions, but not for others. We shall explore this problem and provide new insight and new results via the geometry of the Gauss map and the theory of harmonic maps.
报告摘要3:I develop a general theory of harmonic maps with values in metric spaces and describe applications to rigidity problems in algebraic geometry. This topic beautifully connects insights from geometry and nonlinear PDEs via the notion of convexity.
