Abstract: We prove the differentiability of the Lq-spectrum and the multifractal formalism of self-similar measures with overlaps by converting a finite iterated function system to some infinite graph-directed one. We apply our result to a class of self-similar measures of general finite type. This is a joint work with Guotai Deng.
