In September 2022, the School of Marine Science and Engineering welcomed its first cohort of graduate students, the Class of 2022, since its establishment.

On the morning of Sep 4^th , 2022, Prof. Cheng Liang, Dean of School of Marine Science and Engineering, visited the new students' dormitories to convey his warm greetings and support, accompanied by the graduate counselor Mr. Lei Pengcheng and teaching secretary Ms. Huang Chen. Cheng engaged in cordial discussions with the students about their academic and daily lives. He emphasized the importance of timely communication with faculty for any issues they might encounter and reminded them to prioritize personal safety and the security of their belongings.

This interaction between faculty and new students not only enhanced communication but also allowed the newcomers to feel the school’s commitment and care.
