By leveraging the marine economic development of the Greater Bay Area, we will focus on three strategic areas: marine resource and energy development, high-end marine equipment manufacturing, and marine disaster prevention. Through cutting-edge research and talent cultivation, we aim to drive the sustainable growth of the marine economy. 

Our research covers multiple frontier fields, including ocean renewable energy (offshore wind, wave, and tidal energy), marine resource development (subsea oil and gas, methane hydrates, minerals, and aquaculture), green coastal ecosystems, marine disaster prevention technologies, ship design and ocean engineering equipment development, as well as intelligent ocean engineering, which features smart infrastructure maintenance, unmanned deep-sea platforms, autonomous marine vehicles, and intelligent marine equipment manufacturing.
