On the morning of February 3^rd, a delegation from Xuwen Wind Power Co., Ltd. of State Power Investment Corporation, including Deputy Director Chen Zhenfeng, Deputy Chief Engineer Zheng Xinqin, and Engineering Department Director Kang Xulin, visited the School of Marine Science and Engineering for cooperative discussions. Dean Prof Cheng Liang met with the guests and engaged in a panel discussion.

Cheng Liang welcomed the visit of Chen Zhenfeng and his team on behalf of the school, introducing themembers of the research team and marine engineering projects undertaken by the school. He expressed his anticipation for both parties to actively explore cooperation and exchange, to promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, and to achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.

Zheng Xinqin introduced the Xuwen Wind Power Co., Ltd., Leizhou New Energy Power Co., Ltd., and Zhanjiang Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd., as well as the technical challenges encountered in the construction of offshore wind power.

Both parties conducted in-depth discussions on issues such as offshore wind power construction, wind turbine scour protection, and the protection of submarine cables and limiters. All representatives expressed their hope that through this meeting, they could jointly tackle engineering and technical challenges and explore research topics in offshore wind power. The school and the corporation will also maintain close communication to gradually implement subsequent cooperation matters.

Professor Qu Yan, Associate Professor Shen Zhichao, and postdoctoral researchers Zhang Cheng and Teng Yunfei participated in the discussion in a combination of online and offline formats.
