Biography
Professor Hui Zhang received B.S. from Wuhan University and Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. After graduation, he took postdoc training at Monash University in Australia and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the USA. Before joining the South China University of Technology (SCUT), he was a research scientist at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia from 2021 to 2022. In early 2023, he took his professorship in SCUT. He has published more than 30 papers in Science, Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Chemical Reviews and other renowned journals as the first or corresponding author.
Research Interests
Hui’s group focused on the high-precision structural characterization of emergent catalytic and energy-storing materials, aiming to develop three-dimensional imaging techniques suitable for highly-beam-sensitive materials to realize the accurate visualization of light elements like carbon and oxygen, and to establish the accurate structure-property relationship.
