The ceremony marking the start of the 2nd phase construction of SCUT was successfully held. Attendees in the main venue included the Zhang Shuofu, Secretary of Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC, Wen Guohui, Mayor, Chen Zhiying, Executive Vice Mayor, and Zhang Xichun, Chairman of the University Council of SCUT. Attendees in the branch venue included Gao Song, President of SCUT, Chen Dejun, Head of Panyu District, Qi Huaien, Deputy Director of Guangzhou Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Lin Zhaoyuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Yuexiu Real Estate, and Jiang Jianduan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director and General Manager of the 5th China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
