Professor Zhibing Zhang of University of Birmingham, UK visited our School at 3:00amof March 29th,2018. He gave a lecture with topic of Stabilisation and Controlled Release of Functional Food Ingredients by Encapsulation in Dongtang Hall. Joined by70 teachers and students, the lecture was hosted by vice dean Xiaoxi Li.
After welcoming Professor Zhibing Zhang on behalf of the college by vice dean Xiaoxi Li, Professor Zhibing Zhang gave a brief introduction on subjects of education, research of University of Birmingham. During the lecture, Professor Zhibing Zhang mainly focused on the novel research in the areas of encapsulation and micromanipulation, which has been developed with applications in nutracutical, food, feed and fabric care.
The presentation was very successful and the audiences made a comprehensive discussion with Professor ZhibingZhang in the area of the mechanical characterization of micro-/nanoparticles. Both Professor Zhibing Zhang and our school believed this academic visit would facilitate the collaboration in the area of functional food between both sides.（by LiYing/JiaChenchen）
